We were pleased to welcome District Administrator Sven Krüger to the KSI. Mr. Krüger, who has been serving as District Administrator of Mittelsachsen since May 2025 and previously as Mayor of Freiberg, visited the institute to learn more about its current research and development activities.
During his visit, Mr. Krüger gained insight into KSI’s diverse projects in electrochemistry, nanotechnology, bioanalytics, and environmental technology. He learned about projects ranging from innovative cancer therapies and personalized physiotherapy solutions to environmental monitoring sensors and applications in animal diagnostics.
A bright and collaborative future ahead
Mr. Krüger emphasized the importance of a robust digital infrastructure to ensure optimal conditions for research excellence and international collaboration. He also expressed his commitment to supporting the expansion of broadband networks in Mittelsachsen, helping to create the best conditions for innovation in the region.
