The Kurt Schwabe Institute for Sensor Technologies (KSI) is seeking a dynamic and motivated Scientific Communication Specialist to support and enhance our research activities. This role involves developing and managing national and international collaboration networks, contributing to the preparation and coordination of research proposals for major funding agencies, supporting scientific publications, and leading the institute’s outreach and visibility efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate and strengthen interdisciplinary research networks
• Support researchers in drafting, editing, and submitting funding proposals
• Assist in the preparation and dissemination of scientific publications
• Develop and implement outreach strategies to communicate research to broader audiences
• Promote the institute’s scientific profile through digital and traditional media

Qualifications:

• Background in science, science communication, or related fields
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (additional languages a plus)
• Experience with research funding processes, academic publishing, and public outreach
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
