As part of the futureSAX Transfer Summer Tour, we recently had the pleasure of welcoming Niklas Lange and Michael Kelber from futureSAX – the Innovation Platform of the Free State of Saxony to the KSI Institute. The visit provided an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas, present our ongoing projects, and explore potential avenues for collaboration within Saxony’s dynamic innovation ecosystem.

A Morning of Exchange and Discovery

The visit began with a guided tour of our institute, offering a behind-the-scenes look at our research facilities and ongoing initiatives. Our team presented several current projects and shared insights into how KSI contributes to advancing biosensor technologies and biophysical research.

Beyond the presentations, the meeting was characterized by an open and constructive dialogue. Together with our guests, we discussed innovation transfer in Saxony, the challenges of bridging academic research and industry, and opportunities for strengthening collaboration across disciplines and sectors.

Building Bridges in the Saxon Innovation Landscape

At KSI, we see ourselves not only as a research institute but also as a partner in Saxony’s broader innovation landscape. Platforms such as futureSAX play a vital role in connecting stakeholders, fostering dialogue, and enabling the translation of scientific discoveries into practical applications.

The visit reaffirmed the importance of strong networks and cross-sector exchange. By working closely with initiatives like futureSAX, we aim to further contribute to the visibility and impact of Saxon innovation both nationally and internationally.

Looking Ahead

We would like to thank Niklas Lange and Michael Kelber for their visit, their valuable insights, and the stimulating discussions. We look forward to deepening this collaboration and to contributing actively to the future development of the Saxon transfer landscape.
